About the Department/Unit

The Kogod in Practice team works directly with students to gain hands on experience in business. The KIP team works with employers to connect students with pro bono projects, and co-ops. As a growing program KIP is seeking staff that are excited to engage with students and external stakeholders, who are detail oriented and make data driven decisions.


The position’s primary function is to provide administrative support and assistance to the Kogod in Practice Experiential Learning Programs. This position will support pro bono projects, co-ops and future experiential learning. This area demands a high attention to customer service with the “customer” including students, staff, faculty, and external partners. This role requires very strong knowledge of and experience in data management. This position also requires the ability to organize, prioritize and focus on processes.
The incumbent will strengthen the existing infrastructure and support the development of any needed organizational infrastructure (documents, spreadsheets, graphs, data logs, etc.) for KIP programs to support stakeholders and the scaling of Kogod in Practice. The incumbent will support the coordination of regular program events and team meetings that occur for each KIP program. The incumbent will gather, manage and analyze data from each program, and suggest and implement program improvements. 

Essential Functions

  1. Program Support
    Provide support to students, staff, faculty and employers, including communication between this office and other stakeholders.  The position will assist in developing and implementing the office procedures necessary to ensure seamless communication between stakeholders. Track and order supplies. Coordinate with Kogod events team as necessary.
  2. Manages Compliance of Employer & Student Engagement
    After an employer commits to participating in pro bono projects or co-ops, this position manages all relevant paperwork of MOA, position/project descriptions, student NDA.
  3. Data Management and Program Reporting.
    Maintains accurate information of student participation and employer engagement. Provides administrative and logistical reporting for program management using Office Productivity tools including MS Office, Qualtrix and MicroStrategy.
  4. Other Duties as Assigned.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid Schedule with on campus work required.
  • Occasionally evenings and weekend events needed. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • Full Time - 35 hours per week.

  • This is a union-eligible position. 
  • This position requires presence in the DMV area.

Salary Range

  • $54,000.00 - $58,000.00/year; to commensurate with experience.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience. A minimum of 1-3 years relevant work experience with increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience with analytical software and Microsoft Excel required. Tableau a plus.
  • Applicants must be able to multitask, prioritize, and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Applicants must be detail-oriented, self-starter, able to engage in and contribute to a growing program with a strong team orientation.
  • Requires a background check due to access to sensitive information.
