The Transfer Articulation Coordinator reviews and processes all aspects of transfer articulation for the Office of the University Registrar (OUR). This position works closely with faculty, academic units, and the Office of Admissions. This position is a member of the Catalog and Curriculum team

Essential Functions

  1. The coordinator reviews transcripts and determines transferability based on institutional policies and practices. The coordinator uses best practices to determine credit and grade scheme conversion, and is responsible for data entry of transferable and non-transferable courses into the student information system, Ellucian Colleague. The coordinator gathers course descriptions and/or syllabi for transferable courses, and assigns courses for review to the appropriate faculty member via SharePoint workflow. The coordinator assists the Assistant Registrar for Transfer Articulation in maintaining the transfer articulation database. The coordinator assists prospective and current students, and University faculty and staff with questions about transfer credits. The coordinator assists with an annual review of curriculum changes and advanced standing articulation changes. 
  2. The coordinator maintains a user’s manual for transfer articulation and assists with other training documentation for the Catalog and Curriculum team as requested. The coordinator also provides testing support as needed with Ellucian Colleague development and upgrades. 
  3. Other duties as required by the Assistant Registrar, Associate Registrar or University Registrar.

Salary Range

  • Commensurate with experience

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience 
  • Experience in higher education, knowledge of Colleague or similar ERP, and previous work with confidential records.

  • Proven record of successful experience in student-oriented service environment. 
  • Proven record in working successfully with diverse populations. 
  • Proven accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skills in dealing with a large volume of records. 
  • Strong computer skills with experience with data entry. 
  • Proven ability to problem solve and to apply policy and regulation consistently as directed. 
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, self-management, and attention to detail required.
