Summary/Objective

This position provides administrative support for faculty, students and staff via various communication channels: in person, phone, and email. The incumbent’s duties consist of providing overall support to faculty and staff by ordering office supplies, textbooks and being the front line desk for all inquiries pertaining to the Department’s programs. The incumbent is also responsible for promoting and supporting the Department’s language programs online and through various events, and for maintaining the Department website.

Salary Range

  • Commensurate with experience.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in administration
  • Must be able to work closely with various constituencies (faculty, students, and administration) to provide courteous and friendly support services.
  • Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word.
  • Content Management System (CMS), and university policies and procedures are highly desirable.
  • Must be comfortable with spreadsheets and have strong quantitative skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
