About the Department/Unit
Summary/Objective
Essential Functions
-
Resource and Budget Management: Manage the bidding and contract process for securing guest artist/service provider services. Ensure fiscal responsibility, effective planning, and effective use of resources, confirming that program spending complies with university standards and guidelines.

Student Advising and Training: Meet regularly with programming board directors for Student Union Board (SUB), Kennedy Political Union (KPU), Women’s Initiative, Founder’s Week. Provide training and on-site management of events each semester for students on budget and risk management, programming and special event logistics.

Event Planning and Execution: Responsible for the planning and implementation of major student-initiated and CSI programming including lectures, concerts and other special events. Work closely with staff colleagues in University Center, Public Safety, Facilities Management, Athletics, and others, to address the program needs of campus student leaders and event planners.

Departmental Tasks: Serve on selected Office of Campus Life and university-wide committees, major programming and other office wide initiatives as assigned by the CSI Director. Assist with university events including Commencement, Welcome Week, All-American Weekend and others as assigned by the Director.

- Supervise Programming Assistant.
