Summary/Objective

The Associate Director for CRM Product Management is a technology expert who provides strategic direction for the CRM product and associated technologies. The incumbent develops a deep understanding of the business area s/he supports and lays out a CRM product vision and strategy that delivers value, addresses necessary fixes, and enhances functionality in support of university priorities. This individual is responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining CRM technology solutions while prioritizing initiatives and managing resource allocations. The incumbent leads complex technology projects, influences groups outside their direct span of control, and understands the CRM product roadmap and how it intersects with university priorities. This position combines the creativity of being a strategic business architect with the gratification of working directly with software vendors and internal teams to design and deploy technology solutions across the university in alignment with institutional priorities. The incumbent employs two-way candid conversation as their most important tool.

Salary Range

  • Commensurate with experience

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent education, training and experience

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience

  • Progressively responsible experience with strategic technology planning, integrating complex systems, and designing interactive solutions leveraging CRM technology
  • IT technical and managerial experience in application development and implementation, demonstrated technical leadership, and process redesign capabilities
  • Experience with CRM platforms
  • Relevant experience leading projects to modernize enterprise applications
  • Interest in trends and developments within the technology industry and a passion for the potential of technology tools to transform the work of academia
  • Proven ability to direct the activities of others in time sensitive critical projects, ability to multi-task effectively, and negotiate trade-offs
  • Strong professional presence, energetic personality, can-do attitude, experience working with customers at all organizational levels
  • Strategic vendor management skills, including the ability to lead complex negotiations
  • Strong team building skills and ability to gain cooperation and to motivate others
  • Strong experience evaluating and integrating third party technology solutions and services
  • Strong experience following SDLC and iterative processes
  • Highly effective written and oral communications skills
  • Availability after-hours as needed

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Ellucian CRM products or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • ITIL certification
