Part-time AV/Events Assistant

The Washington College of Law Office of Special Events and CLE is seeking AV/Event Assistants to support  all aspects of both internal and external event operations  Selected students will be responsible for providing support for both rental clients as well as WCL events. Students will be specifically trained to operate in room audio visual equipment, including overhead projectors, drop down screens, lighting dimmers, microphone setup and troubleshooting, power point assistance, and other AV services as required. Students may also be asked to assist with other event related administrative tasks such as assisting with event registration, name badge creation, giving directions and putting up signage. Paid training and orientation on the AV equipment as well as training on event procedures and tasks will be provided.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated, punctual, works well with a team, and possess a high level of attention to detail. We will hire multiple students for this position. Hours are flexible and based upon demand for services. Students can expect an average of 10 hours per week during the semester. Weekend and evening should be expected. Summer semester availability as well.  

Salary Range

  • $13.50/hr

Required Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Enrolled in a degree seeking program at the University
