Salary Range
- $50,000.00/year.
Required Education and Experience
-
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
Preferred Education and Experience
-
Clinical experience with adolescents and young adults; prior experience in university counseling context.
-
Experience with diverse populations including international, minority, and disabled individuals.
-
Sophisticated understanding of human development, cultural context, and psychodynamics.
-
Experience in assessing and intervening with severe or potentially life-threatening psychological conditions.
-
Experience providing interventions to promote healthy emotional growth as well as the amelioration of emotional problems.
-
Experience with supervision of clinical trainees.
-
Knowledge and familiarity with American University and its counseling functions.
