Summary/Objective

The Fraternity and Sorority Life Graduate Student Assistant is a member of the Fraternity and Sorority Life/Center for Student Involvement (CSI) office who is responsible for assisting in the advisement of social fraternities and sororities in the areas of recruitment, risk management, member education, leadership training, and programming. The Graduate Assistant will also assist with ongoing Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) projects.

 

  • Support at least one fraternity and sorority council/committee/auxiliary group
  • Aide in development and facilitation of retreats, programs, events, meetings, etc.
  • Host monthly training and leadership development opportunities for the FSL community
  • Support marketing campaigns within FSL, manage social media accounts and online platforms
  • Attend weekly CSI and FSL staff meetings and CSI programming

Work Environment

  • In person/virtual depending on CDC/AU guidelines

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • Part time 20 hours a week

Salary Range

  • $16/hr

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Experience working with fraternities and sororities

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with student organization management or leadership development
  • Experience in or working with fraternity and sorority chapters
  • Ability to adapt to and work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work collaboratively
