Graduate Research Center (GRC) Student Assistant

  • The Graduate Research Center (GRC) Student Assistant staffs the GRC desk, answers phones, and maintains a welcoming environment for students to study.  In addition, they may work with the Library Building staff to assist with events and emergencies. The primary responsibilities of this position include:
      • Assisting with audiovisual equipment in the GRC
      • Troubleshooting common computer and printing problems
      • Checking graduate students in for study reservations 
      • Providing internal library and campus directions and information
      • Managing the GRC space by enforcing library and university policies and maintaining an orderly environment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

10-15 hours per week

    • Sundays, 12pm – 8pm
    • Mondays – Thursdays, 9am – 10pm
    • Fridays, 9am – 6pm
    • Saturdays, 1pm – 6pm

Salary Range

  • $15.00/ hour

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or its equivalent. 
  • Students must be enrolled in classes at AU as a student. Undergraduate or graduate students are welcome to apply.
