Position Summary

Position: Graduate Assistant, part-time (project organization, qualitative data management)

Term: Spring 2019 (renewable until project completion)

Hours & Remuneration: 5-10 hours/week, $13.50-$15.50/hour

Job Duties

Management of project-based research and general support of faculty research; e.g., organization, tracking, scheduling, literature searches, data management (transcription, compilation, data cleaning, organizing, basic content analysis, software use), survey design, data collection, and reporting. Current project topics include leadership, cybersecurity, knowledge networks, change management.

Qualifications

  • Preferred candidates will be enrolled in a graduate program (Ph.D., MA, MBA, MPA) or undergraduate program in the social sciences, education, business, policy, or a related field. Candidates must be computer-literate, have excellent skills in web research, organizing, communication, and writing. Special consideration will be given for awareness qualitative research skills, including content analysis and Nvivo software.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA to be considered. Employment is through the Kogod School of Business, American University.
