Program Assistant-Skills Institutes

Summary/Objective

This 10 hr/week PT position supports the Skills Institutes in the School of International Service. These weekend courses are aimed at providing graduate students in international affairs with in-demand skills. Responsibilities include:  
1. Faculty Support – the incumbent supports Skills Institute faculty during, and prior to, instruction of the course.  
2. Student Support – the incumbent supports students in Skills Institutes by trouble-shooting technological issues and other access challenges.  
3. Program Assessment – complementing the AU-wide SETs, the incumbent surveys students and analyze the data that these surveys produce. 

Salary Range

  • $17.75/hour.

Required Education and Experience

  • FWS encouraged, but not required.
  • Previous experience in working with events, professional communications, and/or research and evaluation. 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in international affairs or education.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Demonstrated interest in experiential education. 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • This position requires the majority of work hours to be completed in the weekend (Sat, Sun).
