Position Summary

(KSB) Business and Entertainment program faculty seeks a part-time research/teaching assistant for the Spring 2019 Semester.  The research assistant will work on a project examining advanced issues in the music industry. Topics include correlation between radio airplay and consumption, streaming review and royalty distribution, new business models for established artists, etc.

  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Create research portfolio
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Prepare final analysis for presentation to industry executives
  • Manage and respond to project related emails
  • Work with student teams in research topics
  • Assist with class preparation and course materials (i.e., scheduling guest speakers (on campus and via digital) and group site visits)
  • Assist with grading homework, projects, and exams

Educational Requirements

  • Advanced Senior, Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. 
  • Students who have studied or worked in the area of business and entertainment are preferred. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Applicants must have a strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and writing skills, equal ability to work as part of a team and independently.  
  • The research/teaching assistant must be available to work on-site Monday evenings from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and other times will be able to set their own schedule for the additional time.
